Job Opportunity: Experienced Platform Engineers

Companies seek seasoned Platform Engineers with a strong background in platform development and proven track records of leading technology design and teams.

This role entails owning module design, spearheading implementation processes alongside talented engineers, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and adhering to technical standards.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Develop robust, scalable platform modules that meet business requirements and adhere to established standards.
  • Drive the implementation of platform solutions by collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones.
  • Mentor and guide platform engineering teams to foster an environment of growth and continuous improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance platform functionality and user experience.
  • Ensure platform reliability and security through comprehensive testing and adherence to best practices.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to set technical strategy and goals for platform engineering teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Must have:

  • Expertise in Python programming with a solid foundation in writing clean, efficient, and scalable code.
  • Proven experience in serverless application development, designing microservices, and working within event-driven architectures.
  • Demonstrated experience in building and shipping high-quality SaaS platforms/applications on AWS, showcasing successful deployments.
  • Comprehensive understanding of cloud computing concepts, AWS architectural best practices, and familiarity with AWS services like Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, and API Gateway.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, optimizing complex systems for efficiency and scalability.
  • Excellent communication skills, effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
  • Previous experience leading technology design and engineering teams, focusing on mentoring, guiding, and driving teams towards achieving project milestones and technical excellence.

Benefits:

Good to Have:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect or other relevant cloud development certifications.
  • Experience with the AWS Boto3 SDK for Python.
  • Exposure to other cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP.
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields. 8+ years of experience in Software or Platform Engineering, minimum 5 years in roles directly relevant to platform development & team leadership, minimum 4 years in developing applications with Python, and minimum 3 years in serverless application development and building event-driven architectures.
