The estimated annual salary for this position is between $90,000 and $120,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

This Senior QA Engineer will be an active participant in all phases of the project life cycle, working closely with internal business partners to ensure that all testing requirements are understood, documented, and met. Responsibilities include:

  • Performing functional testing with the ability to design and develop comprehensive automated test strategy, test cases, and build automated framework
  • Facilitating GUI, API, or Performance automation of a large set of existing manual test cases for a complex and varied dataset
  • Working closely with developers to understand system architecture and technical aspects, facilitating effective testing
  • Creating detailed and effective test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements
  • Designing, developing, and executing API automation scripts using POSTMAN or similar open-source tools
  • Planning, estimating, executing Sanity or Regression within the project's timeline
  • Planning and executing performance testing to assess the scalability and responsiveness of the e-commerce application
  • Implementing security testing protocols to identify vulnerabilities and ensure the protection of sensitive user and financial data
  • Staying updated with changes in accounting standards and regulations to ensure that processes remain compliant and of high quality
  • Active involvement in the entire SDLC cycle, starting from requirement gathering to the deployment of the task
  • Preparing and maintaining documents throughout the QA cycle covering goals, test cases, scenarios, results, limitations, and outcomes
  • Documenting and tracking software defects, providing detailed information to developers for resolution
  • Monitoring risk-management procedures, maintaining problem logs with correct data sets, and reporting issues to developers or product managers or concerned stakeholders
  • Documenting quality assurance activities, SOPs with internal reporting and audits
  • Providing training and support to quality assurance team members, covering systems, policies, procedures, and core processes
  • Assisting product and operation teams by tracking, documenting, and reporting quality levels at regular intervals

Required Skills and Qualifications

Key qualifications for this role include:

  • A bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, or equivalent
  • 5-6 years of experience in a quality assurance environment
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in any testing tool
  • Minimum 1+ years of experience in Test Automation, Performance, and API testing
  • Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
  • Experience in functional testing with the ability to design and develop comprehensive manual and automated test strategy, test cases, and build automated framework
  • Hands-on experience with both whitebox and blackbox testing
  • Good command over XPath, Web Console, XML, JSON, SQL queries, and scripts
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask with ease
  • Flexibility to move across different languages, technologies, projects, and frameworks
