Cloud Network Automation Engineer

We are seeking a highly experienced Cloud Network Automation Engineer to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in designing, implementing, and automating cloud-based network solutions.

This role will drive the transformation and automation of network operations, ensuring scalable, secure, and highly available connectivity across multi-cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement cloud networking architectures: Create robust and efficient cloud networking architectures for Azure, GCP, and OCI, including VNETs/VPCs, subnets, routing, peering, VPNs, Transit Gateways, etc.
  • Lead the automation of network provisioning: Automate network provisioning, configuration, and monitoring using Terraform, Ansible, and Python.
  • Develop and enforce networking best practices: Develop and enforce networking best practices and security standards across cloud environments.
  • Integrate with CI/CD pipelines: Integrate network automation with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to support Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Troubleshoot complex network issues: Troubleshoot complex network issues across hybrid cloud and on-prem environments.
  • Provide technical leadership: Provide technical leadership and mentoring to junior engineers.
  • Collaborate with teams: Collaborate with security, DevOps, and application teams to ensure optimal network performance and compliance.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's preferred.
  • Strong experience in network engineering (7+ years), with 5+ years focused on cloud networking and automation.
  • Deep expertise in Azure, GCP networking services.
  • Strong scripting/programming skills in Python, Go, or similar languages.
  • Proven experience with Terraform, Ansible, in the context of infrastructure automation tools.
  • Familiarity with container networking (Kubernetes, service mesh) is a plus.
  • In-depth understanding of routing protocols, firewalls, DNS, and load balancing.
  • Experience with multi-cloud hub spoke architecture
  • Experience with SD-WAN and hybrid network architectures.
  • Manage network modules in GitHub.
  • GitHub Actions CI/CD pipeline experience
  • Must have solid network experience
  • Experience with Network automation in Azure and GCP building networks.
  • Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect, GCP Solutions Architect, CCNP/CCIE, or similar are a strong plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with network observability tools.
  • Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps principles.
