Job Title: Infrastructure Designer

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Designer to contribute to the design of large-scale infrastructure projects.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in structural engineering, with a minimum of 10 years of experience. They will be responsible for providing structural design and engineering inputs for large-scale infrastructure projects, reviewing and finalizing structural designs, drawings, and detailed estimates, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide structural design and engineering inputs for large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Review and finalize structural designs, drawings, and detailed estimates.
  • Carry out structural analysis and ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.
  • Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, and other specialists to ensure integrated design solutions.
  • Assess foundation design, load calculations, earthquake-resistant design, and durability aspects.
  • Prepare design basis reports, structural BOQs, and cost estimates.
  • Conduct a review of deliverables from a structural perspective.
  • Provide technical guidance to project teams and support capacity building.

Requirements:

  • Graduated in Civil Engineering.
  • Post-graduate degree in Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong expertise in structural engineering design for infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in structural design software (STAAD Pro, ETABS, SAFE, SAP2000, AutoCAD).
  • Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and international guidelines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Background:

  • Prior experience in design preparation for infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in both government and donor-funded assignments.
  • Familiarity with sustainable and disaster-resilient design practices.
