Job Title:

Continuous Integration and Deployment Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Continuous Integration and Deployment Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with CI/CD toolchains, including expert level knowledge of Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitHub, Artifactory, Ansible, Chef, Terraform, and Puppet.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, building, and running complete CI pipelines on native/virtualized infrastructure. They will also have hands-on experience with build and assembly technologies like Gradle, Maven, Conan, MSBuild, and distributed and parallel build and test environments.

In addition, the ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of DevOps, CI, agile, and lean philosophies and experience with code promotion and lifecycle management. They will also have extensive experience in migrating legacy applications to containerized microservices and providing architectural direction to project development teams.

Preferred qualifications include experience with Linux and/or Windows administration, container technologies, and orchestration tools like Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, Tanzu, and OpenShift.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Partner with development, engineering, and operations teams to collect technical requirements and turn those into deliverables to help build a complete CI/CD strategy.
  2. Provide thought leadership to the enterprise for our SDLC and CI strategy.
  3. Enhance Developer Experience by simplifying existing build and code promotion processes.
  4. Review existing ICE tools and processes, identify gaps, and identify areas for improvement.
  5. POC, demo, and implement software to be used across build and deploy pipelines for on-premise bare metal, and virtual across Windows, Linux, and containerized platforms.
  6. Develop standards and practices for deployments and create re-usable interfaces for consumers.
  7. Define standards for configuration management solution(s).
  8. Follow market trends and DevOps movements and apply models of continuous improvement to CI.
  9. Provide technical leadership, create technical specifications for new micro-services and API's.
  10. Presentation and communication skills.

Requirements:

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
  • 7+ years' experience with CI/CD toolchains including expert level knowledge of one or many standard tools.
  • Hands-on experience on planning, building, and running a complete CI pipeline on native/virtualized infrastructure.
  • Experience with Build and Assembly technologies like, but not limited to Gradle, Maven, Conan, MSBuild.
  • Experience with Distributed and Parallel Build and Test environments.
  • Solid understanding of the basic principles of DevOps, CI, agile and lean philosophies.
  • Experience with Code Promotion and Lifecycle management.
  • Experience migrating Legacy Applications to Containerized Micro-services.
  • Extensive experience of providing architectural direction to project development teams.
  • Proficiency in Scripting Languages, like Bash, Groovy, PowerShell.
  • Fluency in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Hands on experience with container technologies and orchestration including, but not limited to, Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, Tanzu, OpenShift.
