Cloud Financial Management Leader

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Financial Management leader to drive our cloud financial management initiatives and deliver operational excellence on the Azure platform.

This role will involve shaping cloud service strategies, leading research and proof of concepts, and providing opinionated insights to influence offerings and internal best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and optimize Azure subscriptions and resources to ensure cost efficiency and proper utilization.
  2. Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards using Azure Cost Management data and exports.
  3. Implement and manage Azure-native dashboards (Azure Advisor, budgets, cost recommendations).
  4. Lead large-scale Azure migration and modernization engagements, managing end-to-end lifecycle and program governance.
  5. Define and implement cost-management strategies through monitoring, optimization, and automation of Azure services.
  6. Design and implement secure, scalable, efficient, and cost-optimized Azure solutions, balancing trade-offs across requirements, speed, cost, and reliability.
  7. Partner with business and technology stakeholders to gather requirements, evaluate technical merits, and align solutions with business outcomes and total cost of ownership (TCO) value propositions.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Proven track record in Azure FinOps and cost optimization.
  2. Strong expertise across Azure services (VMs, Blob Storage, SQL DB, AKS, Functions, Azure OpenAI).
  3. Hands-on experience with Azure Cost Management, Advisor, Budgets.
  4. Proficiency in PowerShell/Python scripting for automation.
  5. Experience conducting Azure Well-Architected Framework Reviews.
  6. Strong understanding of DevOps practices and pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).

Desired Skills and Experience:

  1. Experience with third-party FinOps tools (CloudHealth, Apptio Cloudability, Flexera One, etc.).
  2. Strong knowledge of Azure governance and compliance (Policies, Blueprints, Management Groups).
  3. Familiarity with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, CI/CD pipelines.
  4. Certifications: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or equivalent.
  5. Experience in Azure Governance, Policy, Compliance, and Security frameworks.
  6. Knowledge of Azure AD, Azure Security Center, Azure Advisor, Azure Sentinel.

Education and Experience:

  1. Minimum 7+ years in cloud operations with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.
  2. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
