About the Role

  • We are seeking an experienced Key Software Engineer to design, implement, and execute automated functional tests primarily targeting our RESTful web service.
  • The ideal candidate will perform release verification with a focus on regression testing, gathering and analyzing large volumes of test data for use in test design.
  • Developing test scripts as needed, reviewing and refining existing test cases and approaches, providing suggestions for improvement.
  • The successful candidate will report daily on test progress and any detected issues, collaborating closely with engineers.
  • Creating, maintaining, and enhancing test documentation for clarity and completeness.

Your Qualifications

A degree in Computer Science or an equivalent qualification is required.

  • No less than 5 years of work experience in testing backend software, preferably Web Services.
  • Experience in test automation with at least one scripting or programming language, preferably Java, Python, and/or Groovy.
  • Prior experience in testing tools such as RestAssured, TestNG, ReadyAPI/SoapUI Pro.
  • A good working knowledge of Microservices, XML, JSON, and Agile environments.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration tools GitLab, Jenkins.
  • Experience in TDD/BDD, Performance testing, and Log analysis tools (Kibana OR Splunk or similar).
  • A passion for product quality, great attention to detail, and communicative personality.
  • A goal-oriented and conscientious attitude, high level of motivation, accountability.
