About the Role

We're seeking a seasoned senior staff engineer to drive our infrastructure development at scale.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled professional to create build systems, web services, and automation tools that are thoroughly specified, documented, and testable.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in software-defined declarative infrastructure, cloud-based platforms, and agile methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain large-scale software-defined declarative infrastructure.
  • Create build systems, web services, and automation tools that meet high standards of quality and reliability.
  • Develop orchestration workflows using ServiceNow's platform capabilities.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and implement new tools, technologies, and methodologies as needed.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated experience with AI integration into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving.
  • Able to lead architectural discussions and influence technical decisions to streamline and simplify infrastructure.
  • Technical leadership experience, removing manual processes in favor of automation.
  • Participation in compliance audits and ensuring proactive meeting of controls.
  • Strong analytical skills, able to investigate and discover solutions independently.
  • Comfortable building and maintaining Linux-based systems through automated tooling like Terraform, Puppet, Ansible, etc.
  • Experience with virtualization using public and private cloud infrastructure technologies like Microsoft Azure, Amazon EC2, VMWare vSphere, etc.
  • Proficient in designing, authoring, testing, and debugging code in popular systems languages like Python, Go, Java, or Ruby.
  • Familiarity with related infrastructure concepts like IP networking, block and file storage, load-balancers, etc.
  • Understanding of related internet protocols like DNS, LDAP, NTP, SMTP, HTTP, etc.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
