Senior Risk Specialist

Wisemonk is an Employer of Record (EOR) platform that helps global companies quickly and compliantly hire, pay, and manage talent in India. We handle payroll, compliance, and HR administration, removing complexity from cross-border hiring and enabling businesses to tap into India's deep talent pool with ease.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for clients and payers during onboarding, including Know Your Customer (KYC), Politically Exposed Persons/sanctions screening, and source of funds verification.
- Develop and maintain robust risk rating models, ensuring appropriate due diligence levels are consistently applied.
- Implement proactive monitoring processes for unusual activity, sanction violations, and prohibited transaction indicators.
- Maintain and update Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF), Sanctions, Anti-Bribery, and Fraud Prevention policies in alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Support reporting obligations to relevant authorities, including suspicious transaction reports.
Requirements:
- FRM (Financial Risk Manager) certification – mandatory.
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Law, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of experience in the Risk/Compliance department of a regulated financial services company, fintech, or payments firm.
