Position: Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a talented mechanical design professional to join our team.

As a mechanical design engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing complex mechanical systems and equipment. You will collaborate with customers and marketing teams to determine design requirements, plan and execute precision mechanical equipment designs, develop and test prototypes, and work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure design specifications are met.

Mechanical Design Engineer Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with vendors and design teams to determine mechanical applications and requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers to determine project requirements.
  • Conduct research to inform the design and engineering methods required for mechanical systems.
  • Plan and execute mechanical designs using CAD, CAM, and 3D CAD programs.
  • Perform computer simulations and experiments to virtually test and refine designs.
  • Oversee the development and manufacturing of physical prototypes for testing.
  • Document the design process, iterations, and test analytics.
  • Liaise with designers, engineers, and manufacturers to ensure coherence.
  • Prepare technical reports, design specifications documents, and operational manuals.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in technology, design trends, and engineering best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a mechanical design engineer.
  • Proficiency with engineering design programs such as AutoCAD, Solidworks, and Rhino.
  • Strong knowledge of design and engineering principles and best practices.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Attentive to detail and critically minded.
