Senior Designer Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Designer to lead our design team. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing their design expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead design projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into effective design solutions.
  • Provide creative direction and mentorship to junior designers, guiding them in the development of their skills and the execution of design projects.
  • Generate innovative design concepts and develop them into polished visual designs across various mediums, including digital and print.
  • Advocate for user-centred design principles, conducting user research and incorporating feedback to improve the usability and effectiveness of designs.
  • Ensure consistency and alignment with brand guidelines across all design assets and communication channels.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, design tools, and emerging technologies, integrating them into design processes as appropriate.
  • Conduct thorough quality assurance checks on design deliverables to ensure accuracy, functionality, and alignment with project requirements.
  • Presentation skills: present design concepts and solutions to stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner, incorporating feedback and iterating on designs as necessary.
  • Project management: manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritising tasks effectively and communicating project status updates to relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a design role, with a strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in graphic design, typography, and layout.
  • Expertise in design software such as Sketchup, Vray, Autocad.
  • Solid understanding of user interface (UI) design principles and best practices.
  • Strong conceptual thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale effectively.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality design solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team setting.
  • Experience with motion graphics, animation, or prototyping tools is a plus.
  • A passion for design and a desire to push the boundaries of creativity.
