Job Description

PloPdo is seeking a Disaster Recovery Coordinator to join our team in managing the day-to-day relationship with vendors/service providers of the disaster recovery infrastructure and facilities.

This role is responsible for managing all recovery planning and dry runs, assessing results, and improving plans as necessary.

The ideal candidate will provide consulting services on all aspects of the organization's disaster recovery and resumption plans, supervise and direct DR Lead coordinators, and execute the disaster recovery plan during a disaster.

The position requires developing and maintaining liaisons with Leads, controlling the development and maintenance of the Disaster Recovery Plan, and participating in Disaster Recovery meetings and reviews.

The successful candidate will have a B.Tech/B.E degree or higher, 8+ years of increasingly responsible IT technical experience, and 6+ years of IT DR planning and design experience for medium-large organizations.

Required skills include expert knowledge of DR and business continuity policies, procedures, regulations, and governance processes, as well as advanced knowledge of Data Center infrastructures, network, midrange, middleware, storage, databases, portals, mobile, and IT security.

The ideal candidate will also demonstrate understanding of data replication technologies, backup and restore approaches and technologies, and have experience with Service Now.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day relationship with vendors/service providers of the disaster recovery infrastructure and facilities.
  • Manage all recovery planning and dry runs.
  • Assess results of dry runs and improve plans as necessary.
  • Provide consulting services on all aspects of the organization's disaster recovery and resumption plans.
  • Supervise and direct DR Lead coordinators responsible for planning disaster recovery teams.
  • During a disaster, execute the disaster recovery plan.
  • Develop and maintain liaisons with Leads and similar entities to facilitate plan development, response effort coordination during DR exercise and actual DR.
  • Control the development and maintenance of the Disaster Recovery Plan and supporting documentation.
  • Participate in Disaster Recovery meetings and reviews.
  • Drive Disaster Recovery coordination activities end-to-end.

Requirements:

  • B.Tech/B.E degree or higher.
  • 8+ years of increasingly responsible IT technical experience.
  • 6+ years of IT DR planning and design experience for medium-large organizations.
  • Expert knowledge of DR and business continuity policies, procedures, regulations, and governance processes.
  • Advanced knowledge of Data Center infrastructures, network, midrange, middleware, storage, databases, portals, mobile, and IT security.
  • Understanding of data replication technologies, backup and restore approaches and technologies.
  • Experience with Service Now.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with all levels of management and technical staff.
  • Extensive familiarity with all aspects of project management, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and operations.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and train individuals and teams.
