Job Title: Confectionary Artisan

• This is a Confectionary Artisan position responsible for preparing various pastry and dessert menu items according to recipes and photos.
• The ideal candidate will have strong confectionery skills, be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment, and possess excellent presentation and attention-to-detail qualities.
• Key Responsibilities include preparing pastry and dessert menu items according to provided recipes and photos, operating assigned stations in the pastry galley, assuming responsibility for some pastry and dessert production, setting up pastry displays on buffets as needed, transporting food items from main stores to pastry galley when assigned, cleaning and sanitizing working areas and utensils following United States Public Health rules and regulations, participating in early standby in the pastry galley for USPH purposes, and being aware of and/or acquiring knowledge to comply with ship's standard operation, assist guests and crew members with inquiries.
• Qualifications and Education:
• A minimum of two years' experience as a Confectionary Artisan in an upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship or convention banqueting service (shipboard experience preferred).
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements, and use of equipment.
• Completion of high school or basic education equivalency requirement.
