Data Architect and Database Lead

We're looking for a highly skilled Data Architect and Database Lead to drive the development of our database infrastructure.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and highly available database solutions. This includes monitoring and optimizing database performance through indexing, query tuning, and storage management.

You will lead database capacity planning, disaster recovery strategy, and backup/restore processes, as well as implement and enforce database security controls including encryption, access controls, and auditing.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in SQL Server, with working knowledge of other RDBMS (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL), strong proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedures, and performance analysis tools, and experience with HA/DR solutions (e.g., AlwaysOn Availability Groups, Log Shipping, Replication).

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field 7+ years of hands-on experience in database administration, design, and performance tuning
  • Expertise in SQL Server, with working knowledge of other RDBMS (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL)
  • Strong proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedures, and performance analysis tools
  • Experience with HA/DR solutions (e.g., AlwaysOn Availability Groups, Log Shipping, Replication)
  • Solid understanding of database security, compliance (e.g., PII, PCI), and role-based access control
  • Proficient in automation scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python, or Bash)
