Job Title: Senior Terraform Automation Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned Terraform automation professional with expertise in Cisco SD-WAN to review and optimize our infrastructure codebase.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Review Terraform codebase for Cisco SD-WAN deployments across multiple sites, ensuring adherence to best practices and industry standards.
  • Assess configuration templates, policies, automation workflows, and state management strategies to identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide detailed recommendations for enhancing Terraform configurations and deliver a comprehensive review report with actionable insights.
  • Conduct remote knowledge transfer sessions with the client's technical team to ensure seamless integration of new processes and tools.

Requirements:

  • Proven hands-on experience with Terraform (modules, variables, templates, IaC workflows) in production environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of Cisco SD-WAN components (vManage, vSmart, vBond, device templates, policies) and ability to integrate them effectively.
  • Strong understanding of state management strategies (remote backends, locking, workspaces) and ability to evaluate and optimize them.
  • Experience integrating Terraform with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (Git/SharePoint/Azure DevOps).
  • Familiarity with network automation best practices and SD-WAN deployment models.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and analytical skills, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines.
  • Superior communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.

Experience:

  • At least 7 years of experience in Infrastructure Automation / Network Automation engineering roles.
  • 3+ years of proven hands-on experience with Terraform in production environments.
  • Prior exposure to enterprise-scale multi-site WAN deployments and practical experience with Cisco SD-WAN automation, templates, and policies.
