Job Title: Head of Procurement

 

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Procurement to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the procurement function by developing and executing sourcing strategies for raw materials, chemicals, consumables, and services that ensure cost-efficiency, quality, and uninterrupted production in alignment with company goals and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Sourcing & Category Management
  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies for key spend categories, including raw materials, solvents, catalysts, packaging, and engineering supplies.
  • Monitor global and domestic chemical markets to anticipate pricing trends and availability.
  • Vendor & Contract Management
  • Identify, assess, and develop suppliers (domestic and international).
  • Lead negotiations and manage long-term agreements, ensuring favorable terms, pricing, and service levels.
  • Ensure compliance with REACH, RoHS, and other regulatory guidelines in procurement contracts.
  • Cost Optimization & Budgeting
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, vendor consolidation, and process improvements.
  • Prepare and monitor procurement budgets and ensure adherence to financial targets.
  • Inventory & Supply Assurance
  • Collaborate with production and planning teams to maintain optimum stock levels while minimising working capital.
  • Ensure timely availability of materials to avoid production disruptions.
  • Team Leadership & Process Improvement
  • Lead and develop a high-performing procurement team.
  • Drive digitalization and automation of procurement processes using ERP (SAP/Oracle).
  • Compliance & Risk Management
  • Ensure all procurement activities adhere to legal and company compliance standards.
  • Identify risks in the supply chain and implement contingency plans.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing and procurement within the chemical/process/manufacturing industry.
  • Familiarity with global sourcing, customs regulations, and import/export documentation.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Office.
