Nursing Tutor Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a Nursing Tutor and contribute to the growth and development of nursing students. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, possess excellent communication skills, and have a passion for teaching.

About the Role:

  • Develop and distribute specific learning objectives for nursing students to ensure they achieve their full potential.
  • Brief students on clinical requirements, maintain a daily diary in the clinical setting, and submit assignments on time to promote accountability and responsibility.
  • Conduct demonstrations and supervise return demonstrations of students in the lab to facilitate hands-on learning.
  • Assign patients to students in the clinical setting as per learning objectives to enhance their practical experience.
  • Evaluate and correct student assignments timely to provide constructive feedback and support their progress.
  • Participate in formative and summative evaluation of students and provide feedback to help them improve.
  • Conduct guidance and counselling sessions with students to address any concerns or issues they may have.
  • Supervise students in their area of clinical posting to ensure they are safe and competent in their practice.
  • Liaise with ward staff for smooth conduct of clinical learning to foster effective collaboration.
  • Teach nursing subjects according to curriculum direction to ensure students receive comprehensive education.
  • Maintain student records and assist in preparing timetables and duty rosters to streamline administrative tasks.
  • Assist learners to identify their learning needs and effective learning activities to promote self-directed learning.
  • Manage clinical risk and contribute to quality planning to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Lead quality improvement activities and participate in clinical audits to drive excellence in nursing practice.
  • Ensure quality standards meet accreditation and certification requirements to maintain the highest level of professionalism.
