Job Title: Supply Chain Operations Manager

This is a challenging opportunity for an experienced professional to lead the coordination of Imports and Exports departments. The role involves overseeing workflows, managing resources, and ensuring timely and accurate operational processes.

You will be responsible for ensuring speedy delivery of cargo to customers, adhering to all regulations, and supervising shift managers and their teams. You will review Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) regularly and ensure that all team members meet expectations in quality, timelines, and communication.

The successful candidate will also resolve escalations and exceptions during the shipment process, deliver regular feedback, training, and development sessions, and build operational thinking and ownership mindset in the team.

You will identify areas of inefficiency or data integrity issues, develop improvement plans, and propose automation, smarter flows, and better controls. Additionally, you will ensure seamless collaboration with service providers.

Fiscally, you will set goals and objectives for the team, utilize established indicators and tools, and ensure all accounting matters are finalized to maximize revenue.

In terms of people management, you will lead, motivate, and manage all operations teams, retain adequate staffing levels, conduct quarterly performance reviews, and monitor staff performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with freight forwarding procedures and financials
  • Bachelor's degree in any field (Commerce, International Trade, Logistics preferred)
  • 5+ years of industry-related experience required, with a preference for freight forwarding
  • 2+ years of team management experience, including managing team leads or shift managers
  • Demonstrated Leadership and People Management skills
  • Strong attention to detail, data integrity, and customer service mindset
  • Highly motivated and results-driven
  • Outstanding people skills; customer-driven, business-savvy
  • Able to handle complex problems, knows how to multitask
