Job Description:

Citizens of the accounting world, a distinguished professional is sought to fill an esteemed position. As a vital component of the audit team, you will be responsible for conducting and assisting with audits, reviews, and compilations for clients in various sectors.

Responsibilities:
  • Carry out and assist with audits, reviews, and compilations under US GAAP and US GAAS standards.
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements and evaluate internal controls systems.
  • Assist with the coordination of daily tasks, including planning, fieldwork, and wrap-up activities.
  • Develop a profound understanding of accounting and reporting standards generally accepted in the United States.
  • Conduct independent research on US GAAP and US GAAS principles.
  • Establish realistic time budgets and coordinate audit requests to meet time constraints and client deadlines.
  • Mentor, train, and supervise junior staff members.
  • Contribute to fostering strong client relationships through positive interactions with client personnel.
  • Communicate with Supervisors/Managers and/or Directors on work status and client issues that arise.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • CPA (or in process) or CA with 3-5 years of experience within a public accounting firm or US auditing CPA firm.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including responsiveness to US offices.
  • Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities are required.
  • Industry exposure: Commercial Real Estate.
  • Demonstrated teamwork and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work well independently but also work well with others.
  • Approaches projects with a sense of urgency.
  • Outstanding analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Knowledge of Caseware, Caseview, or IDEA is a plus.
