Job Description:

  • Actively supervise IT service management (ITSM) ticket queues to maintain mean time to resolve (MTTR).
  • Employ analytical skills such as logical thinking and problem-solving to handle assignments.
  • Identify the root cause of priority 2, 3, and 4 incidents and recommend suitable resolution actions for other events requiring root cause analysis.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for support on alarm/event/KPI-related issues.
  • Collaborate closely with field teams for all field activities, including hardware failures and node unreachability.
  • Ensure timely restoration of services, maintaining MTTR for excellent customer experience and high service availability according to service level agreements.
  • Proactively engage to detect potential failures, ensuring incident restoration or avoidance when assisted by the incident manager or automated service functions.
  • Perform node health checks and backups, troubleshooting deviations identified.
  • Share details with the maintenance and incident response team (MIR CSR) to respective teams.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of network operations from end-to-end.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Good knowledge in IP networking protocols, including OSPF, ISIS, BGP, MPLS, LDP, L2VPN, L3VPN, BFD, and segment routing.
  • Understanding of switching VLANs, STP, RSTP, MSTP, VRRP, and HSRP.
  • Telecom expertise in 2G, 3G, and 4G service flow interfaces.
  • Hold minimum one certification in firewalls (FortiGate/Juniper SRX/A10) and one certification in routers (CCNA/CCNP/JNCIP).
  • Possess good communication and trouble-shooting skills.
  • Have at least 8-16 years of relevant experience in IP domains and virtualization technologies.
