This role is for an Assistant Pastry Chef located in the South Goa district. The position supports the Head Pastry Chef in creating and presenting a variety of pastries and baked goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare baking ingredients according to recipes
- Follow traditional and modern recipes for pastry production
- Monitor stock levels to ensure availability of ingredients
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the kitchen
- Assist in decorating and presenting finished products
Requirements:
- Proficiency in pastry baking, cake decoration, and dessert making
- Experience in following and adjusting recipes
- Knowledge of kitchen hygiene and safety standards
- Ability to work collaboratively and take direction
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Relevant certification or diploma in Baking and Pastry Arts is beneficial
- Prior experience in a bakery or pastry kitchen is advantageous
- Attention to detail and creativity in pastry presentation are essential
