Senior Electrical Engineer

This is a highly demanding role that requires exceptional leadership skills and technical expertise. As a senior engineer, you will be responsible for managing projects from conception to completion.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and excellent communication skills. They should be able to work effectively in a team environment and possess a high level of autonomy.

In this role, you will be expected to lead multi-disciplinary teams and interface with clients to deliver successful projects. You will also be responsible for ensuring the quality of output and implementing procedures to achieve this goal.

A key aspect of this role is the ability to promote professional development within the team and mentor colleagues towards accreditation. This includes actively promoting the UK iCRC Charter and ensuring that team members are aware of their responsibilities and expectations.

The applicant will have significant experience in designing building services, preferably in a similar role or with a good track record. A degree in Electrical Engineering and membership to an accredited engineering body such as MIET, CIBSE, INSRAE, ASHRAE are essential requirements. The applicant must also be technically proficient in electrical design and possess excellent knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Project.

A sound understanding of technical software such as Hevacomp, Amtech, Dialux is required, as well as the ability to communicate effectively in English. The ideal candidate will also have experience in undertaking feasibility studies, developing concepts through to detailed design, specification, and tender to the required standards. Development of energy strategies incorporating renewable technologies and low energy designs to satisfy local authority planning requirements and compliance with UK regulations is also essential.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A degree in Electrical Engineering
• Membership to an accredited engineering body such as MIET, CIBSE, INSRAE, ASHRAE
