Job Title: Senior Design Engineer – API 6A EquipmentJob Summary:We are seeking a senior design engineer with extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in designing and certifying pressure control equipment to API 6A standards.Key Responsibilities:Lead the design and development of pressure control equipment, including valves, wellhead components, and tree assemblies. Conduct FEA and mechanical calculations to validate designs. Ensure compliance with API 6A, ASME, and customer-specific requirements.Collaborate cross-functionally with manufacturing, quality, sales, and supply chain teams. Provide engineering support for prototype testing, failure analysis, and continuous improvement efforts.Participate in and/or lead design reviews, DFMEAs, and engineering change processes. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of internal engineering standards and best practices.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (required); Master's preferred. 7+ years of experience in mechanical design engineering in the oil & gas industry. Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with API 6A product design and certification processes.Proficiency in INVENTOR, VAULT, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and engineering analysis tools. Familiarity with ASME Section VIII, API 6A, and API Q1 standards is a must. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, welding, heat treatment, etc.). Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.Preferred Qualifications:Mentorship and training experience in design engineering and manufacturing.
