Job Description: Android AOSP Developer

This role involves developing and maintaining the Android Open-Source Project (AOSP) platform for our Android devices. You'll be responsible for:

  • Creating and maintaining software builds or configuration management of the AOSP platform.
  • Developing overall solutions for high-level Android customization requirements.
  • Maintaining high-quality documentation of design, reviews, and test results.
  • Staying up-to-date with the latest developments in the Android ecosystem.
  • Collaborating with additional developers to design and implement new structures.
  • Debugging and troubleshooting issues with the AOSP platform.
  • Ensuring the security and stability of the AOSP platform.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
  • Excellent experience in C++ and Java, with added advantage of experience in Java/JNI and Kotlin.
  • Strong understanding of the Android platform and AOSP development.
  • Working experience with Android Automotive OS & in Android Application upgrade.
  • Experience and expertise in make tools (build tools).
  • Good knowledge on Linux/Ubuntu & on version control tools (Git and Repo, SVN).
  • Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
  • Experience with software development tools such as Android Studio, Eclipse, and IntelliJ IDEA.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Experience with low-level system programming.
  • Familiarity with Android Architecture and System Services.
  • Experience with Android platform concepts like HAL Development, System Services, Android Boot, Fast Boot etc.
  • Contributions to the Android Open-Source Project.

  • You are a skilled developer with excellent problem-solving skills and good communication skills.
  • You have experience with low-level system programming and familiarity with Android Architecture and System Services.
