Job Title: Python Automation and Embedded C Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Python automation and embedded C developer to join our team. In this key leadership role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining Python-based automation frameworks for embedded automotive systems.

The successful candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Python scripting, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in automation and testing. Additionally, they will have at least 5 years of experience in embedded systems testing within the automotive domain.

This is a pivotal role that requires a deep understanding of software testing methodologies, including unit, integration, and system testing. The ideal candidate should also have expertise in testing life cycle, defect management, and test strategy.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to define test strategies, ensuring quality, and performing requirement analysis and deriving test cases. You will also execute white-box and black-box testing, analyze test results, and report defects with detailed logs.

To succeed in this role, you must possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to work effectively in an Agile environment.

You will participate in Agile ceremonies, contribute to sprint planning and retrospectives, and ensure compliance with automotive standards and safety protocols.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Mandatory Skills:
  • Python Scripting: Strong hands-on experience in Python for automation and testing.
  • Automotive Embedded Testing: Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded systems testing within the automotive domain.
  • Software & Composite Testing Expertise: Strong understanding of software testing methodologies.
  • Core Testing Principles: Deep knowledge of testing life cycle, defect management, and test strategy.
  • White-box Testing: Experience in code-level testing and debugging.
  • Coverage Measurement: Familiarity with tools and techniques for code coverage analysis.
  • Embedded C Programming: Proficiency in C for embedded systems.
  • Agile Methodology: Practical experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Requirement-Based Testing: Ability to derive and execute test cases from system/software requirements.
  • Automotive Standards & Tools: Hands-on experience with CAN (Controller Area Network), UDS (Unified Diagnostic Services), CANoe / CANalyzer.
  • Good to Have:
  • CI/CD Philosophy: Understanding of continuous integration and deployment practices.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities.
  • Communication: Good verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in test case design and execution.
  • AUTOSAR Knowledge: Familiarity with AUTOSAR layered software architecture.
  • Version Control: Experience with Git and/or Subversion.
  • UML: Understanding of Unified Modeling Language for system design and documentation.
