Job Title: Technical Lead Consultant

The WNS Global Services Technical Lead Consultant will spearhead initiatives to optimize and expand our use of the Appian platform across various business functions. This leadership role demands a deep understanding of Appian's platform capabilities, strategic vision, and the ability to translate complex business requirements into efficient technical solutions.

The ideal candidate will lead a team of developers and collaborate closely with business stakeholders to drive innovation and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and oversee the implementation of projects in Appian.
  • Gather and analyze requirements to ensure project success.
  • Develop robust integrations with other peripheral systems, middleware, and applications.
  • Design and implement data models to support business needs.
  • Establish architectural and development standards for the project, adhering to Appian and WNS Global Services best practices.
  • Perform regular code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
  • Conduct sophisticated troubleshooting and problem-solving across the Appian platform.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Appian developers and analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Manage key stakeholder relationships, translating complex business needs into technical specifications and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Drive innovation in Appian, leveraging new technologies and methodologies to enhance service delivery.
  • Develop expertise in Appian key capabilities, including process modeling, user interface, expressions, plugin analysis, sites, embedded Appian, portals, records, and admin console.
  • Stay up-to-date with database concepts, including stored procedures, views, materialized views, triggers, and explain statements.
  • Estimate project requirements based on high-level specifications.
  • Develop applications with performance optimization guidelines, particularly for high-volume applications.
  • Create demos, proofs of concept, and proofs of value for customer stakeholders and internal teams.
  • Develop high-level technical specifications for solutions.
  • Manage Appian upgrades, ensuring compatibility and minimal disruption.
  • Lead user acceptance testing with business users and BA.
  • Perform application deployments.
  • Oversee infrastructure setup for on-premises projects.
  • Collaborate with on-shore or off-shore teams during the development phase.
  • Maintain working knowledge of networks, OS platforms, and agile development methodologies.

Requirements:

  • Graduate or postgraduate degree in Computer Science, MIS, IT, or related fields.
  • 6+ years of total experience.
  • 4-5 years of experience in developing enterprise-level web applications using Appian.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in leading a team of developers.
  • Experience in developing on J2EE, .Net, and RDBMS platforms (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server).
  • Excellent logical and analytical reasoning ability.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Flexibility to travel.

Preferred Competencies:

  • Knowledge of GenAI, AI, RPA, IDP, DevOps, Process Mining tools, and technologies.
  • Working knowledge of networks and OS platforms.
  • Knowledge of agile development methodologies.
  • Appian Senior/Lead Developer Certification.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead by example in developing solutions and managing teams.
