About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Freelance SAS Modeler Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in modeling and analytics, with expertise in SAS and Python programming languages.
Main Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for building, validating, and maintaining statistical and predictive models using SAS and Python. Additionally, they will lead the migration of SAS applications to Python, ensure code translation, define best practices, and mentor team members on Python adoption and coding practices.
Key Requirements: To be considered for this role, applicants must possess a strong background in:
SAS mastery, including Base SAS, SAS/STAT, Enterprise Miner, Visual Analytics, PROC SQL, and macros
Python expertise, particularly with pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, matplotlib, seaborn, and PySpark (bonus)
Statistical strength, including regression, forecasting, clustering, classification, A/B testing, and causal inference
Migration experience, with proven success in leading large-scale SAS to Python transitions
Leadership skills, including the ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and deliver high-impact results
