Job Opportunity: Senior Aluminium Facade Designer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Aluminium Facade Designer to join our team in Mumbai. As part of our dynamic team, you will play a crucial role in delivering subcontract design for external aluminium facade packages for a diverse range of architecturally sophisticated buildings throughout the UK and Ireland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver detailed working drawings for aluminium facade packages.
  • Collaborate with architects to interpret design requirements and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Supervise and mentor junior designers to ensure adherence to design procedures and quality standards.
  • Produce schedules and cutting lists to meet manufacturer's delivery dates and internal review requirements.
  • Attend project meetings to discuss design progress, identify areas for improvement, and clarify scope of works.
  • Maintain accurate records of contracts worked on for weekly timesheets and contract files.
  • Provide technical support to the team and contribute to the development of design procedures and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5-10 years of experience in aluminium facade design.
  • Strong understanding of architectural requirements and industry standards.
  • Excellent supervisory and mentoring skills to manage junior designers.
  • Proficiency in English is required as the business home office is located in the UK.
  • Willingness to relocate to Mumbai with relocation assistance provided.
  • Availability to work aligned with the UK time zone.
  • Commitment to a 5-day work week, Monday to Friday.
