About Us

We're a forward-thinking team looking for an exceptional Principal/Senior Data Architect to help us drive innovation and excellence in our data solutions.

This is a key role within our organisation, requiring the ideal candidate to design and implement end-to-end data architecture solutions that meet our business needs. As a Principal/Senior Data Architect, you will be responsible for:

  • Designing and driving data and analytics solution architectures from concept to delivery.
  • Developing conceptual/logical/physical data models for analytics solutions.
  • Ensuring industry-accepted data architecture principles, standards, and guidelines are integrated into our solutions.
  • Driving the design, sizing, setup, and configuration of Azure environments and related services.
  • Mentoring development and business teams on data architecture design and requirements.
  • Reviewing solution requirements and architecture to ensure the selection of appropriate technology and efficient use of resources.
  • Advising on new technology trends and possible adoption to maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Participating in pre-sales activities and publishing thought leadership pieces.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrated experience delivering multiple data solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience with ETL development using SSIS, Data Factory, and related Microsoft and other ETL technologies.
  • In-depth skills with SQL Server, Azure Synapse, Azure Databricks, HDInsights, and Azure Data Lake, including configuration and administration.
  • Demonstrated experience with different data models like normalised, de-normalized, stars, and snowflake models.
  • Experience working with transactional, temporal, time series, and structured and unstructured data.
  • Data Quality Management (Microsoft DQS and other data quality and governance tools) and Data Architecture standardization experience.
  • A deep understanding of operational dependencies of applications, networks, systems, security, and policy (both on-premise and in the cloud).
  • Advanced study/knowledge in computer science or software engineering along with advanced knowledge of software development methodologies.
