About the Opportunity:

Shipsy is looking for an experienced Senior Mobile Application Specialist to join its team. As a key member of our development team, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality mobile applications using the Android framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and deploy mobile applications using the Android framework.
  • Create reusable code assets to improve code efficiency and reduce maintenance costs.
  • Ensure scalability and maintainability of developed applications.
  • Write comprehensive unit tests to ensure maximum code coverage.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and provide timely support.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving code quality.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and share knowledge with the team.

Requirements:

  • Mandatory experience with Kotlin and understanding of Kotlin Coroutine & Flows.
  • Proficiency in Android Jetpack Compose with a desire to learn other relevant technologies.
  • Strong understanding of mobile programming fundamentals, including threading, local database design, caching, and more.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and ability to analyze complex issues.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills with ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • Sound understanding of Version Control Systems like Git.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in contributing to open-source or personal projects showcasing expertise in Android Jetpack Compose, iOS SwiftUI, or KMM.
  • Familiarity with third-party libraries and APIs.
  • Knowledge of Clean Architecture and MVVM paradigms.
  • Experience working with Backend Developers to design and implement API architecture.
  • Exposure to CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Github actions.
  • Experience with app deployment to Play Store or App Store platforms.

Estimated Salary: $140,000 - $220,000 per year
