Job Description

We need a skilled Freelance QA Automation Engineer with expertise in Karate Framework for UI and API test automation. The ideal candidate should design, develop, and execute automated test cases to ensure the reliability, performance, and quality of applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Karate Framework for UI and API testing.
  • Design reusable, modular, and scalable automation frameworks.
  • Collaborate with developers, QA teams, and business analysts to understand requirements and create effective test coverage.
  • Execute and analyze test results, identifying and reporting defects.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Provide detailed documentation of test plans, test cases, and execution reports.

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience with Karate Framework for both API and UI automation.
  • Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and XML.
  • Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Azure DevOps, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of QA methodologies and software testing lifecycle.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Java, JavaScript, or related programming languages.
  • Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
