Senior Research Associate Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Research Associate to join our organization in Bangalore.

  • Perform synthetic chemistry reactions, reaction workups, and purification of compounds using column chromatography, crystallization, re-crystallization techniques, and preparative TLC.
  • Ensure samples generated during synthesis are analyzed, record results, and update supervisors on progress.
  • Record observations, results, and activities related to reactions in laboratory notebooks or electronic notebooks.
  • Operate lab equipment, calibrate instruments, and maintain equipment cleanliness.
  • Maintain awareness of MSDS of chemicals handled, emergency response procedures, and proper waste segregation.
Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Research Associate, you will be responsible for:

  • Running independent projects in areas such as immuno-oncology.
  • Driving assigned projects with full commitment, championing biology, establishing assays, and models required to drive projects.
  • Taking active participation in running experiments, compiling data, and preparing study reports.
  • Training and mentoring other scientists in a timely manner.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Chemical Sciences.
  • 3-5 years of experience in chemical synthesis, analytical techniques, and laboratory operations.
  • Good knowledge of analytical techniques and analytical data interpretation.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • A hardworking, sincere, and team player attitude.
