Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in architecting, designing, installing, configuring, and maintaining enterprise computing platforms. This is a critical role that requires expertise in Windows Server operating systems, server hardware, advanced networking, and storage solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and build computedelivery platforms based on technical requirements provided by application and business stakeholders.
  • Provision and configure various windows server operating systems, server hardware, and core server applications/functions.
  • Administer scalable VMs in both private and public cloud environments.
  • Provide Tier 3 (complex) level support for Windows based machines and related technologies including root cause analysis and preventative solution implementation.
  • Regularly assess system performance, recommend improvements, and perform tuning and resource optimization as required.
  • Assist with critical patching and vulnerability remediations.
  • Develop, document, and maintain installation and configuration procedures. Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and latest technology trends.
  • Configure, manage, and maintain active directory and group policy.
  • Participate in the design and deployment of new IT systems and services. Engage in application integration design sessions.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned and in a timely fashion.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Candidate must possess 5-8 years of experience in either a Systems Administration or Engineering role.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies (i.e. VMware ESXi, HyperV).
  • Strong knowledge of Windows server setup, deployment, and maintenance for Windows 2016/2019/2022.
  • Candidates should have a passion for scripting/coding automation tools and technologies that improve system infrastructure and provisioning (Powershell, Python, Ansible, Jenkins).
  • Proven experience with server hardware, various operating systems, advanced networking, and storage providing high performance and robust application platforms.
  • Knowledge and/or ability to comply with change management processes.
  • The candidate must have excellent communications skills to be successful.
  • Ability to organize information and produce technical documentation for operational effectiveness.
  • Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations.
  • Position requires after hours support for outages/impairments. Candidates will participate in a 24x7 on call support rotation.
