As a Senior Electrical Engineer at Arcadis, you will play a key role in our water projects in the North American region.

We are seeking talented individuals to fill our current vacancy for Senior Electrical Engineer to work on our water projects in the North American region.

The key objectives of this role are:

  1. To take on a main role within the ANA Water and Wastewater Treatment sector, providing technical advice and leading by example where appropriate.
  2. To manage selected projects (or parts of projects) meeting budgetary, quality, and timeframe targets.
  3. To build and consolidate networks within the Water industry.

Role Accountabilities:

The responsibilities of this role include:

  1. An entry-level leadership role leads a large team of Electrical Engineers.
  2. Deliver multiple complex projects and directly manage external client relationships.
  3. Create opportunities to implement new digital approaches in your projects.
  4. Preparation of design reports and design calculations for various electrical and power equipment.
  5. Responsible for performing engineering services for water and wastewater sector projects.
  6. Complete design knowledge using ETAP, SKM Tool, Amtech, and DIALux software.
  7. Ability to lead a team on various projects in line with client requirements.
  8. Provide design input to CAD/BIM and coordinate with BIM/CAD staff for the preparation of drawings.
  9. Liaison with other team members to produce good design solutions as per the best design practice.
  10. Working in collaboration with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design.
  11. Building a profile in the industry and keeping up to date with innovations and developments.
  12. Compliance with the Arcadis business management system.
  13. Health & Safety Management.
  14. Performing other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time.

Qualifications & Experience:

The ideal candidate will have:

  1. B.E / B. Tech in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University.
  2. 12 to 15 years of experience in the design of electrical systems associated with the water and wastewater industries.
  3. Managing selected projects or components of projects, taking responsibility for quality assurance and client feedback, and ensuring effective communication of any changes/modifications.
  4. Providing technical advice to project team members.
  5. Reviewing and ensuring compliance in the components of the project for which you are responsible, including drawings, reports, specifications, and studies.
  6. Working independently as well as with a team on various projects in line with client requirements.
  7. Supervising the design team and ensuring the project is delivered with high quality within the program and budget.
  8. Building and maintaining effective relationships with clients on projects.
  9. Liaising with the Project Director or Manager and the client to keep informed of all developments associated with the project.
  10. Assisting in developing team members to their full potential.
  11. Being familiar with and compliant with relevant H & S regulations and promoting a culture of awareness within the team.

Required Competencies:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  1. Sound technical knowledge, academically good.
  2. Familiar with American standards, NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and IEC standards.
  3. Proven design experience; including concept, preliminary, detailed, and construction phases.
  4. Conversant with ETAP, SKM Tools, Amtech, and DIALUX software.
  5. A strong, self-motivated, and assertive person capable of working under pressure.
  6. Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  7. Flexible to adopt new work/challenge work as per business requirements.
  8. Proven track records of consistently bring work from the lead region.
