**Job Title:** Senior Backend Engineer
\
We are seeking a skilled Senior Backend Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust and scalable backend systems using Node.js and TypeScript.
\
**Key Responsibilities:**
\
* Design and implement REST APIs using OpenAPI specs
* Write SQS workers to handle tasks such as data ingestion and insights generation
* Collaborate with the Platform/Infra engineer to ensure security, performance, and cost-effectiveness of our systems
* Enforce input validation, structured logging, and distributed tracing
* Add tests, documentation, and runbooks as needed
\
**Requirements:**
\
* 5+ years of experience building Node/TypeScript backends with Postgres and a queue (SQS/Rabbit/etc.)
* Proven experience with secure webhooks and third-party APIs
* Strong grasp of idempotency, retries/backoff, cursor pagination, error design, and API performance
* Comfortable with Docker, GitHub Actions, and observability basics (logs/metrics/traces)

* Plaid SDK experience; LLM API usage (Gemini/OpenAI); SMS flows (SNS/Twilio)
* Exposure to Java/Spring or Go (we may introduce JVM/Go for specific future services)
