Senior Manager of Securities Operations

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the role of Senior Manager of Securities Operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the management of specialists in transactional tasks, ensuring quality and compliance in securities operations.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of a team of specialists to guarantee quality and compliance in securities operations
  • Support as the first point of contact for all delivery tasks and escalations
  • IDentification of opportunities for process improvement and risk control development
  • Ensuring the team consistently meets delivery expectations and resolves issues related to reporting, career path, and related activities for direct reports
  • Collaboration and influence with professionals at all levels, including more experienced managers
  • Leading the team to achieve objectives
  • Management of the allocation of people and financial resources for securities operations
  • Development and guidance of a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
Key Qualifications
  • Essential Qualifications:
  • At least 2 years of experience in Securities Operations or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, education
  • A minimum of 1 year of leadership experience
Duties and Responsibilities
  • People Management Responsibilities:
  • Supervision of a team of analysts and specialists responsible for income collection and entitlement processing
  • Setting clear performance expectations and providing regular feedback and coaching
  • Ensuring team members understand their roles in the broader asset servicing lifecycle
  • Performance Management:
  • Conducting performance reviews and development planning
  • IDentifying skill gaps and providing training or mentoring opportunities
  • Recognizing and rewarding high performance while addressing underperformance constructively
  • Workforce Planning:
  • Effective allocation of resources to meet operational demands and deadlines
  • Managing staffing levels, including hiring, onboarding, and succession planning
  • Operational Excellence:
  • Fostering a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement
  • Encouraging proactive issue resolution and escalation of risks or delays
  • Monitoring KPIs and service level agreements to ensure team efficiency
  • Communication & Collaboration:
  • Acting as a liaison between the team and senior management, middle office, and client service teams
  • Facilitating regular team meetings and cross-functional collaboration
  • Promoting transparency and open communication within the team
  • Compliance & Risk Management:
  • Ensuring team adherence to internal controls, compliance policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Leading audits and reviews related to income servicing processes
  • Promoting a strong risk culture and ethical standards
  • Change Management:
  • Guiding the team through process changes, system upgrades, and organizational shifts
  • Championing automation and digital transformation initiatives
  • Managing resistance and building engagement during transitions
