Job Summary

  • We are seeking a skilled Data Architect to join our team.

About the Role

  • The successful candidate will design, develop and enforce data models and naming standards across all deliverables.
  • S/he will reverse and forward engineer business legacy data models.
  • Communication of technical data integration requirements, designs, and decisions to IT and Business stakeholders is essential.
  • Data redundancy reduction, support consolidation, transformation, and training of Business and IT members is required.
  • Data lineage with or without pre-existing documentation will be designed and developed.
  • Current and target state data integration models and flows will be created and maintained.
  • Reverse and forward engineering of Business data models to the level needed for business analytics usage will be carried out.
  • An understanding of Business processes and corresponding system architecture is necessary.
  • IDentification of source systems, understanding of data relationships, Determination of impacted integrations.
  • Partnering with Business Intelligence teams to define reporting goals and/or dashboard requirements is required.
  • Data models and solutions to meet reporting and analytics needs will be designed and developed.
  • Design documentation should include Business rules, Data security, Data quality, Lineage, Harmonization.
  • Support testing and deployment activities as required.
  • Assisting in developing and adhering to project timelines; performing other assigned project duties.
  • Serving as the single point of contact for data-related questions and quality issues.
  • Communicating technical and non-technical information clearly and effectively, both in writing and orally.
  • Presenting findings, recommendations, and specifications through reports and presentations to both Business and IT teams.
  • This position requires full commitment and support for promoting an ethical and compliant culture, including Integrity, honesty, and respectful treatment of others. Willingness to speak up when misconduct is observed or concerns arise.

Requirements

  • Computer Science or Information Systems degree or equivalent field, DAMA Data certifications a plus.
  • 4+ years of experience in data modeling, database design, and data architecture.
  • Experience in the Banking Domain is a must.
  • Proficient in: Data Lineage / Modeling tools (ER Studio), Informatica toolsets including Data Archive, EDC, Oracle database.
  • Expert understanding of Data Warehouse design for high volume processing and performance.
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools, including Tableau, Microsoft PowerBI.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree specialized in Information and Data Management and Design.
  • 3 years of deep data modeling and architecture experience.
