Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Java Backend Developer with extensive hands-on experience in Java 8/21 and the Spring Boot framework to design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and secure backend applications.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in developing robust, efficient, and secure software solutions using advanced technologies such as microservices architecture and containerization.

  • Design and develop scalable backend applications leveraging Java 8/21, Spring Boot, and other relevant technologies.
  • Build customized RESTful APIs using core Spring Boot modules and implement API security measures.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement new features, ensuring seamless integration and compatibility.
  • Optimize applications for maximum performance, scalability, and security, adhering to industry best practices.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and bottlenecks, implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide technical mentorship to junior developers, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong programming expertise in Java 8/21, including object-oriented design principles and patterns.
  • Proven experience with the Spring Boot framework, including configuration, deployment, and management.
  • Experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs, including API documentation and testing.
  • Working knowledge of SQL/MySQL and relational database concepts, including data modeling and query optimization.
  • Basic understanding of Docker and Kubernetes in a DevOps environment, including containerization and orchestration.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to articulate complex technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems, including service discovery and load balancing.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms, particularly AWS, including deployment and management of cloud-based resources.
  • Familiarity with Angular or other front-end frameworks, including web development and user interface design.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, especially EKS on AWS, including cluster management and resource allocation.
  • Understanding of secure coding practices and authentication/authorization strategies, including threat modeling and vulnerability assessment.
