Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Firmware Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing firmware for DDR/LPDDR/GDDR/HBM PHY using microcontrollers.

This role involves:

  • Designing and implementing firmware for high-speed serdes or memory interface physical layer blocks;
  • Collaborating with hardware designers and memory subsystem architects to derive algorithms and implement them;
  • Working with the verification team to develop a firmware-hardware co-verification plan;
  • Debugging firmware-based simulations in hardware behavioral simulations (RTL simulations with firmware for verification);
  • Supporting debugging issues on emulation and silicon bring-up boards.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in embedded software development, preferably with experience in C programming;
  • Good knowledge of shell/perl/python/TCL scripting;
  • Excellent debugging skills and experience with verification EDA tools like simulators and waveform viewers;
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment;
  • 4-6 years of experience in developing bare-metal firmware for high-speed serdes or memory interface physical layer blocks.
