AWS Cloud Engineer

This role involves designing, deploying and managing AWS cloud solutions to meet business objectives.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Implementation: Design and implement secure and efficient AWS cloud infrastructure.
  • Cloud-Based Solutions: Develop scalable cloud-based solutions using AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS and VPC.
  • Automation and Scalability: Automate deployment, scaling and management of cloud applications using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  • Security Measures: Implement security best practices including identity and access management (IAM), VPC security and data protection.
  • System Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues and optimize cloud resources for cost and performance.
  • Collaboration: Work with development teams to set up Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Cost Optimization: Conduct regular cloud cost analysis and optimization.
  • Staying Updated: Stay current on AWS features and industry trends.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering or a related field.
  • AWS Proficiency: Strong proficiency in AWS services and features.
  • Scripting and Programming: Experience with scripting and programming languages for automation tasks.
  • Networking Concepts: Solid understanding of networking concepts including VPC, subnetting, NAT and VPN.
  • Containerization Technologies: Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • DevOps Principles: Understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD tools and practices.
  • Certification: AWS certification is highly desirable.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Education:

  • Degree: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
