Expert Omics Data Analyst

The role of a computational biologist is to bridge the gap between biology and computer science, working at the intersection of data analysis and research discovery.
Responsibilities:
- Developing novel pipelines for omics data analysis, utilizing expertise in bioinformatics and data management.
- Collaborating with researchers and scientists to design and execute projects related to genomics, transcriptomics, and proteomics.
- Presenting results and findings to internal stakeholders, conveying complex scientific concepts in an accessible manner.
Requirements:
- A strong background in bioinformatics, computer science, or a related field, with experience in scRNA-Seq and omics data analysis.
- Excellent programming skills, with proficiency in languages such as R, Python, or Perl.
- Good understanding of current best practices in data management and storage.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with machine learning algorithms and their applications in bioinformatics.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS or GCP.
- Relational database experience, including Postgres or MySQL.
Personal Qualities:
- Ability to work independently, prioritizing tasks and managing projects effectively.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
