Job Role: Database Professional

We are seeking an experienced database administrator to fill this critical position. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in database administration, performance optimization, and query tuning for large-scale databases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer, maintain, and optimize large-scale databases.
  • Perform query optimization, database tuning, and indexing strategies for high-performance applications.
  • Implement and monitor database backup, recovery, and failover strategies.
  • Manage database security, roles, and access privileges.
  • Work with development teams to troubleshoot and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures.
  • Utilize tools such as timesqldb and related toolkits for proactive performance management.
  • Ensure database scalability, reliability, and availability in production environments.
  • Support upgrades, patching, and migration activities.

Mandatory Skills:

  • PostgreSQL DBA expertise (8+ years).
  • Strong experience in performance optimization & query tuning.
  • Hands-on with Linux / openSUSE environment.
  • Proven work with timesqldb and related toolkit utilities.
  • Ability to handle large databases (1000–2000 GB).

Favorable Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of replication, partitioning, and clustering.
  • Experience in automation and scripting (Bash, Python, or similar).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools.

The role requires hands-on experience in PostgreSQL on Linux / openSUSE environments along with familiarity in using tools such as timesqldb and related toolkits. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in database administration, performance optimization, and query tuning for large-scale databases (1000–2000 GB). We are looking for a detail-oriented individual who can ensure database scalability, reliability, and availability in production environments.
