3D Modeler Job Description

The primary responsibility of this role is to create detailed 3D models of façade systems and elements using SketchUp software.

This designer will work under the guidance of a 3D Visualizer, focusing on visualizing aluminium, glass, and cladding systems based on architectural and technical inputs.

  • Main Responsibilities:
    • Develop accurate and detailed 3D façade models using SketchUp with a strong emphasis on precision and attention to detail.
    • Interpret architectural and shop drawings to build precise 3D façade components, ensuring accuracy and consistency in every model.
    • Assist in preparing exploded views, conceptual façade visuals, and component-level visuals that effectively communicate design intent.
    • Collaborate closely with the 3D Visualizer and Design Engineer to incorporate feedback and revisions, fostering a collaborative environment.
    • Maintain organized model files and version tracking for each project, promoting efficiency and reducing errors.
    • Support client presentations and internal visual communication through updated models, showcasing the team's expertise and creativity.
    • Key Requirements:
      • A minimum of 2–3 years of hands-on experience in SketchUp 3D modelling, preferably in the façade or architectural industry.
      • A strong understanding of basic construction elements like curtain walls, ACP panels, glass fittings, etc., is essential for success in this role.
      • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, demonstrating a solid grasp of technical concepts.
      • An eye for detail and proportion in visual output is crucial for creating high-quality models that meet the highest standards.
      • Good communication and coordination skills are necessary to interact effectively with internal teams, ensuring seamless collaboration.
      • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
        • Basic knowledge or exposure to Unreal Engine for rendering or interactive walkthroughs is a desirable skill.
        • A willingness to learn and explore visual improvement tools in the future demonstrates adaptability and a growth mindset.
        • Work Environment:
          • Full-time position located at Peenya, Bangalore.
          • Reporting directly to the Design Engineer and working under the guidance of the 3D Visualizer.
          • A collaborative environment with exposure to high-quality façade projects, providing opportunities for growth and development.
