About the Role
As a Data Scientist in the credit risk strategy team at bluCognition, you will leverage your analytical skills to develop data-driven risk management strategies. Your focus will be on improving the client's business by enhancing credit and fraud risk, customer experience, and marketing verticals.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and validate risk management strategies using data analytics and domain expertise
- Extract and explore data, validate data integrity, and perform ad hoc analysis
- Maintain robust documentation of approach and techniques used
- Stay up-to-date with new tools, technologies, and platforms
- Collaborate with engineers to validate and deploy scalable solutions
- Develop expertise in data science and engineering through self-study and project exposure
Requirements
- Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., computer science, data science, engineering, economics, mathematics)
- 3+ years of Data Science experience
- 2+ years in financial services
- Experience building and implementing risk strategies in production
- Deep understanding of segmentation techniques
- Experience in banking sector with exposure to risk management analytics
- Proficient with Python, SQL, and Spark
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
