About the Role

Our organization seeks an accomplished Physical Design Engineer to spearhead our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in ASIC physical design, with expertise in top-level floor planning, placement, partitioning, clock tree synthesis, timing optimization, SI-aware routing, and ECO tasks.

The successful candidate will also possess experience working on 65nm or lower node designs, with a comprehensive understanding of low-power techniques such as voltage islands, power gating, and substrate-bias.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior physical design engineers.
  • Interface with front-end ASIC teams to resolve issues.
  • Leverage expertise in scripting languages such as PERL, TCL, and Cadence or Synopsys or Magma physical design tools.
  • Develop and implement static timing analysis in Primetime or Primetime-SI.
  • Contribute to the development of excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to clearly document plans.

Requirements

  • 4-12 years of experience in ASIC physical design.
  • Expertise in top-level floor planning, placement, partitioning, clock tree synthesis, timing optimization, SI-aware routing, and ECO tasks.
  • Experience working on 65nm or lower node designs, with knowledge of low-power techniques.
  • Strong background in CAD software and scripting languages (PERL, TCL).
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
