About the Role
The Category Buyer will work closely with cross-functional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective execution of strategy and roadmap. Key responsibilities include:
- Developing a long-term plan and strategy for category development
- Managing vendor relationships, product portfolio, and inventory management
- Creating strong working relationships with buying, marketing, and merchandising teams
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end management of the category's top-line and bottom-line. Key responsibilities include:
- New brand or vendor acquisition and pricing strategy
- Product portfolio and inventory management
- Vendor relationship management
- Customer management: developing multiple channels and optimizing omni-channel sales
- Category analytics: proficient in analytics to identify growth areas and execute
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should hold a Graduate or Postgraduate degree from NIFT and have a minimum of 3-8 years of total work experience in category management. Prior experience in similar sized businesses is preferred.
