Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Architecture Technologist to join our team at AECOM. As a key member of our architectural team, you will be responsible for performing advanced technical assignments, preparing specifications, reports, and related data tables, and maintaining liaison with design and drafting groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing advanced architectural calculations and preparing specifications, reports, and related data tables.
  • Maintaining liaison with design and drafting groups and preparing, reviewing, and approving drawings as required.
  • Working under the direction of the Supervising Architect, performing advanced technical assignments of various complexities within approved schedules and budgets.
  • Coordinating technical and administrative activities with employees in other disciplines and other departments participating on an assigned project.
  • Assisting in the training and evaluation of assigned architectural and design/drafting personnel.
  • Reviewing and approving conceptual designs and assisting in the development of new architectural methods and techniques.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor of Architecture is required.
  • Between 8-12 years of experience in Architecture projects, with Middle East/US/UK experience desirable but not essential.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work well independently at times.
  • Able to see the "bigger picture" and take a birds-eye view of projects.
  • Good skills in software like Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and other related design software.
  • Basic transport architecture experience and experience working in Workplace interiors.
  • Keen to learn and develop new methods and software.
  • Proven ability in delivering projects under tight timelines.
