Software Developer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced software developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java, with experience in designing, building, and maintaining robust and scalable software solutions for the Internet of Things (IoT).

This role involves:

  1. Designing and developing Java-based applications for IoT platforms.
  2. Integrating various hardware devices and sensors with software systems.
  3. Developing APIs and microservices to enable communication between devices and the cloud.
  4. Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices.
  5. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers and product managers.
  6. Performing unit and integration testing to ensure the quality and reliability of the software.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a software developer with a focus on Java.
  • Solid understanding of IoT principles, protocols (e.g., MQTT, CoAP), and architectures.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS IoT, Google Cloud IoT, or Azure IoT.
  • Proficiency in Java frameworks like Spring Boot or Micronaut.
  • Familiarity with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and message queues (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka).
  • Experience with version control systems, particularly Git.
