Job Overview And Responsibilities:

The Senior Manager will lead and scale our cloud infrastructure and operations, playing a key role in the design, development, and delivery of secure, scalable, and highly available cloud environments.

- This leader will manage a high-performing team of cloud engineers and collaborate closely with Enterprise Architecture, DevOps, Operations, Information Security, and Software Development teams to ensure the cloud ecosystem aligns with our digital strategy and evolving business needs.

- They will play a key role in implementing FinOps practices across the organization, establishing cost visibility, driving financial accountability, and optimizing cloud spend.

- The Senior Manager will partner with Finance, Procurement, and Engineering teams to ensure cloud investments are aligned with business value, and that cloud resources are used efficiently across all environments.

- In this role, the Senior Manager will drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure teams are equipped with the right technologies to support cloud initiatives, while continuously gathering feedback to enhance the user experience.

- Strong partnerships with application and infrastructure teams will be essential to delivering solutions that scale effectively and support organizational growth.

- Collaborate with domain architects, solutions architects, Information Security, engineers, and leaders to develop reference architectures, design patterns, opinion papers, technical standards, and architecture decision frameworks that guide the design of technology solutions and applications across the enterprise.

- Develop and manage a cloud technical strategy and coordinates adoption of operational services.

- This role will be responsible for executing on strategic guidance that conveys best practices and common pitfalls for system/resources design, infrastructure integrations, cost optimization, monitoring, infrastructure as code, and incident response.

- Develop cloud operational metrics, plans, and KPIs to track and achieve desired business outcomes.

- Design and implement scalable cloud infrastructure solutions that meet operational requirements, such as observability, stability, maintainability, security, reliability, extensibility, availability, and manageability.

- Ensure compliance with security and governance policies, including identity and access management, network architecture, and audit logging.

- Conduct research and develop Proof of Concepts on emerging cloud/hybrid cloud technologies and implementation toolkits in support of anticipated development efforts and recommend technologies that functionally robust and cost-effective.

- Identify new cloud technologies, industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, and recommend strategic adoption which should be incorporated into policies & roadmap.

- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of cloud engineers across multiple projects and platforms.

- Enable team knowledge redundancy and support to ensure operational effectiveness and consistency.

Qualifications:

What's needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

- 12+ years of relative IT experience.

- 5+ years of cloud architecture or development experience in cloud computing.

- 3+ years of people management experience.

- Application development and cloud architecture experience.

- Strategic planning of Cloud Platforms and Cloud Enablement.

- Understanding of emerging development platforms.

- Strong understanding of FinOps and cloud financial management practices.

- Deep expertise with AWS and Azure Service Offerings.

- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation.

- Strong understanding of containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.

- Proven experience with monitoring, observability, and incident response in cloud-native environments.

- Proven expertise in leading and influencing technical staff or coordinating work across multiple technology teams.
