Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP security professional to join our team as an SAP Basis Authorization Specialist.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing SAP user access, roles, and authorizations while ensuring compliance with security best practices.

This role involves overseeing the creation, maintenance, and management of SAP user accounts, roles, and authorizations, conducting regular security audits and compliance checks, developing and implementing SAP security policies and procedures, and providing training and guidance to end-users on SAP security best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage SAP User Access and Authorizations: Ensure that all SAP users have appropriate access levels and permissions to perform their duties efficiently and effectively.
  • Conduct Security Audits and Compliance Checks: Regularly review and analyze SAP system logs and performance metrics to identify potential security threats or vulnerabilities.
  • Develop and Implement SAP Security Policies and Procedures: Create and enforce policies and guidelines for secure use of the SAP environment.
  • Provide Training and Guidance: Educate end-users on best practices for secure use of the SAP system and ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 4+ Years of Experience: Hands-on experience in SAP security, specifically with SAP Basis, user roles, and authorizations.
  • Strong Knowledge of SAP Security Concepts: Solid understanding of SAP security concepts, role management, authorization profiles, and troubleshooting security-related issues in SAP environments.
  • Candidates Must Possess: A foundational understanding of core business processes across functions such as Materials Management, Planning, Procurement, Production, and Warehouse Management.
  • Familiarity with SAP Security Tools: Familiarity with SAP security tools, such as SAP GRC, and knowledge of ABAP/technical aspects related to SAP security is a plus.
  • Excellent Analytical and Troubleshooting Skills: Ability to resolve complex authorization issues.
